Would 10 wins this season secure playoffs? Would it be a surprising achievement by Nagy this season?

Right now it looks like 10-6 will be good enough to win at least two of the divisions in the NFC including the north. Three teams right now are on pace to have a better record than that and two will be division winners. So the odds say that this record will be enough to claim one of the wild card spots. It would be an astonishing achievement for Nagy. Taking a team that was 5-11 last year to 10-6 his first year is beyond impressive. Never mind the fact that no Bears head coach in the Super Bowl era has ever had a winning record his first year.

After watching through this point of the season, what’s your prediction for win-loss record and who do we win/lose to the rest of the season?

The Bears seem to be at that point where they can beat up on bad teams but have yet to beat a good team. The two teams with current winning records they’ve faced, New England and Miami, they lost to. So it’s hard to tell where this team is at right now. Given the rest of their schedule and the state of the opponents? I think they’ll come up at 9-7. It’s a tough slate. Two against the Vikings. Another against the Rams and the Packers are always difficult.

I will say this. If they can beat the Lions both times in the next three weeks, and factor in likely wins over the Giants and 49ers? All they have to do is win one of the games against Minnesota, Green Bay or L.A. to reach 10-6. Not impossible.
