Crimson Tide with a statement win

It was supposed to be a classic battle of two SEC thoroughbreds. Instead, it was a showcase of how one program is looking down on the entire state of college football.

Led by a defense that held no. 9 LSU (7-2, 4-2 SEC) to 196 total yards of offense, the no. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide (9-0, 6-0) cruised to a 29-0 win and cement themselves as the best team in college football for the time being. This was a pretty good LSU team that Alabama defeated.

One that has an elite defense and a run game that was crushed opponents during the season. Not to mention, the hostile LSU crowd was sure to give LSU a clear and precise home field advantage.

Heisman hopeful Tua Tagovailoa tossed his first interception of the season but it was his backbreaking 44-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that gave Alabama a 22-0 lead with victory just about in hand.

For the past few seasons, the quarterback position has been arguably the biggest question mark on the Crimson Tide teams. Every other position was checked off with game-changing talent. Now the Tide have that quarterback that in Tagovailoa that can win ball games for them. Which makes this arguably the most dangerous team that head coach Nick Saban has had in quite some time.
