Three teams that could try to sign Sam Bradford
Denver Broncos
It’s safe to say at this point that Case Keenum has not lived up to high expectations in Denver.
After his great 2017 season in relief of Bradford with the Vikings, the Broncos paid Keenum $36 million over the course of two seasons and so far, not so good.
Through eight games, Keenum has 10 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions along with six fumbles. Keenum is completing passes at an okay rate (around 64 percent) for the Broncos but is almost turning the ball over an average of twice per game.
That’s simply not acceptable for the Broncos at this point or any point, and it could be argued that Bradford could come in and upgrade that situation right away.
The coaches in Denver are coaching for their jobs, and if they believe Bradford offers them a chance to win better than Keenum, this is a move they might look into making. There were rumors the Broncos were interested in Bradford a couple of years ago, so perhaps there’s still something there with Keenum playing at a backup level.
