No. 1 Alabama vs. no. 4 LSU: Streaming, preview, and predictions
Prediction
Ready for an SEC heavyweight bout?
The winner of this game is likely to find themselves as SEC West champions by season’s end and with both in the College Football Playoff top-5, the winner here places a big stamp on their respective resumes’. A night game in Baton Rouge has built it’s own legacy. Since 1960, LSU has gone 201-59-3 in night games at Tiger Stadium.
For Alabama, this is easily the biggest test that Tagovailoa has faced since his legendary National Championship appearance against Georgia. So far this season, Tagovailoa has thrown 25 touchdowns and no interceptions while averaging 258 passing yards per game. Stellar he has been but this LSU defense is a great test and it will not be a surprise if the Tigers defense is able to limit Tagovailoa enough for a win.
Both teams had bye weeks last week to prepare. A tight-knit slugfest is what we will likely see. Plenty of physical football will be on display and the first critical mistake could be a damaging one.
So with plenty of talent both sides in a game that is definitely even matched across the board, the one advantage will probably turn to quarterback play.
Burrow is more of the veteran but Tagovailoa is as efficient we have seen of a quarterback in quite some time. A physical game stays that way for all four quarters but Tagovailoa is a little more trustworthy as is the Alabama run game. The Crimson Tide goes into Tiger Stadium and walks out victorious.
