Which trade was better? Moving up for Tru or trading for Mack

It’s still a bit early to determine that to the fullest extent, but I’ll try to humor you. Both trades could end up proving to be the most significant maneuvers of the past decade in Bears history. Trubisky is steadily morphing into a legitimate starting quarterback. Mack has been a stud from the moment he stepped on the field for the defense. However, if one wants my opinion on this?

Where things stand, I believe the move for Mack was “better.” I tend to fall into the camp that believes the move up for Trubisky was unnecessary. I believe he would’ve been available at #3 but I don’t judge Ryan Pace too harshly for it because I didn’t have the information he did. He easily could’ve known something that the fans and media didn’t.

The move for Mack was exactly the right thing to do. A great pass rusher was what this defense was missing and we caught a glimpse of how great it can be when he’s healthy and on the field. Given how it has looked without him? I shudder to think where the defense would be right now.
