#3: The Kelvin Hayden pick-six

For most of Super Bowl XLI, the Bears were in the game. They got out to a big lead thanks to Devin Hester and Thomas Jones but had soon fallen behind thanks to a Colts comeback. Even so, the game was tight through three quarters with Indianapolis clinging to a 22-17 lead. Things looked like they were starting to tilt Chicago’s way after forcing a Colts punt to start the 4th.

After an offensive holding call pushed them back, Jones ran for six yards on 1st down and then Rex Grossman connected on a 22-yard pass to Muhsin Muhammad to reach the 38-yard line. Unfortunately, he went to the well too many times. Grossman went deep to Muhammad again on the next play. This time the Colts were ready.

Cornerback Kelvin Hayden intercepted it and returned the ball 56 yards for a backbreaking touchdown, putting the game out of reach for the Bears.
