Houston Texans trade 4th round pick for Demaryius Thomas:  B

The loss of Will Fuller made a move by the Texans almost inevitable. They couldn’t afford to allow defenses to devote their coverages towards stopping DeAndre Hopkins. So the team took a calculated risk to go get Demaryius Thomas. He’s not the superstar he was five years ago but the 30-year old receiver can still play. He’s on course for over 800 yards this season and that’s with iffy QB play. With Deshaun Watson, he has a shot at new life.

Philadelphia Eagles trade 3rd round pick for Golden Tate:  A-

When you have an abundance of draft picks, it’s okay to spend one of them to help make your team better immediately. Especially when you’re the defending Super Bowl champs and want to protect your crown. That’s what the Eagles did. Golden Tate is a quality wide receiver who’s on course for 1,000 yards this season. He can be a huge benefit to quarterbacks on third down and in the red zone that’s to his sharper route running and toughness. He’ll fit right in.
