New Orleans Saints trade 4th and 7th rounders for Eli Apple:  B

The Saints are already one of the best teams in the NFL. Their defense has finally come around after a terrible start to the season. Adding another talented cornerback could be the final cherry on the sundae. Eli Apple has always had talent. He’s flashed it a number of times in New York. He just never got comfortable with the coaching staff there and went through maturity issues. Now he’s got a fresh start. Can he embrace the work needed to be great? New Orleans believes he can.

Detroit Lions trade 5th round pick for Damon Harrison:  B+

The move to grab Damon Harrison had plenty of logic behind it. He’s a big defensive tackle with a long reputation for stopping the run, something the Lions have had a hard time doing this season. Giving up a modest pick for somebody that can fix your biggest problem is a worthwhile venture. Harrison also made a strong debut with a sack and seven tackles. Safe to say he likes playing in Patricia’s system and should be a quality piece moving forward.
