Biggest alum:  Warren Moon

People would never believe that one of the best quarterbacks in pro football history wasn’t drafted by the NFL. Why? He was black. That’s pretty much it. They realized their mistake when Moon went to Canada and won five Grey Cup championships. He came back to the U.S. where he put together a Hall of Fame career, playing into his 40s.

Other notables:  Mark Brunell and Chris Chandler

Brunell is always overlooked when mentioning good quarterbacks in days gone by. He was a backup to Favre in Green Bay before landing in Jacksonville where he became one of the top passers in the AFC for a considerable stretch, reaching three Pro Bowls. Chandler had an inconsistent career but was really good in Atlanta for a stretch with two Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl appearance.

2019 watchlist:  Jake Browning

People have looked down on Browning for some time now because he doesn’t have the strongest arm and has some questions about his health. One thing is for sure. The kid finds a way to win. He’s the all-time passer in school history and took them to the CFB playoffs. Time has shown it’s not always the best idea to bet against him.
