New York Jets at Chicago Bears: Week 8 game prediction
By Erik Lambert
Key matchups:
Isaiah Crowell vs. Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan – With Bilal Powell out for the season, the Jets rushing attack has fallen squarely on the shoulders of Crowell. New York hasn’t won a game this season when they’ve failed to rush for 100 yards. He knows he has to deliver. The Bears have two good inside linebackers in Smith and Trevathan ready to meet him. They’re anxious to get Chicago’s strong run defense back on track after two difficult games.
Anthony Miller vs. Buster Skrine – The Jets have a good secondary but Buster Skrine has struggled a bit this year. Quarterbacks have a 121.2 rating when targeting him in the slot and he’s giving up 13.4 yards per catch. Bears slot receiver Anthony Miller is beginning to assert himself the past couple weeks with two straight games where he’s been wide open multiple times. Skrine will have the task of covering him and can’t afford a letdown.
