With the New Orleans Saints’ first round pick acquired in the Marcus Davenport trade, Green Bay is getting Aaron Rodgers another big weapon. After dipping their toe into free agency last year and signing Jimmy Graham the Packers are doing what many NFL teams have done for years, and that’s getting two big tight ends who can make plays.

Fant is the prototypical modern-day tight end standing at 6’5 with the ability to make big plays down the field. Last year he averaged over 16 yards per catch with 11 touchdowns. While he’s not the focal point of the Hawkeyes offense, he’s just four catches short of surpassing his career high of 30. He’ll give Rodgers a big playmaker who could potentially replace Graham after the 2019 season when his contract can be voided.
