Alex Smith has never been known for creating explosive offense. Not without help anyway. Thus far the Washington Redskins have survived on a strong running game and Smith’s ability to manage with scarce resources. The offense could really use a big play threat in the passing game. Somebody who can strike down the field and ease the pressure on receivers elsewhere. Marquise Brown fits that description. Though he’s undersized, there’s no question that he is a pure burner. Somebody who can get the ball anywhere on the field and turn it into a touchdown. The big question is can he stay healthy?
