23. Green Bay Packers

23. player. 49. . S. Alabama. Deionte Thompson

Deionte Thompson is one of the best safeties in college football, and many consider him to be the best safety in the 2019 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, not many teams towards the top of the draft either need a safety or will value Thompson higher than a quarterback or pass rusher.

The Alabama star comes into Green Bay just as former Tide star HaHa Clinton-Dix departs in free agency. With so many Packers players scheduled to be free agents, it’ll be tough for the team to pay a safety as much as Clinton-Dix will command.

Thompson can start on day one in Green Bay in place of Clinton-Dix and be one of the best at his position in the NFL.
