Alabama thrashes Tennessee

The top team in all of college football makes things look as routine as waking up in the morning and brushing your teeth.

In the rivalry appropriately titled “Third Saturday in October”, the latest edition saw the #1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0) completely handled SEC rival Tennessee (3-4, 1-3) with ease with a 58-21 victory. By the end of the first quarter, the Crimson Tide were up 28-0 and the beatdown continued to ensue.

Heisman hopeful Tua Tagovailoa was his normal, efficient self with 306 passing yards and four touchdowns while the Alabama run game produced 218 yards on the ground, their sixth game this season of over 200 rushing yards.

There’s no other way around it. Alabama has the look and the feel of another juggernaut team that coach Nick Saban has put together that can very well go undefeated and capture another national championship. In a few weeks comes a unique test: the #4 LSU Tigers.

Even with a couple of other intriguing match-ups await Alabama in Mississippi State and Auburn, the Crimson Tide look, dare I say it, unbeatable.
