Nebraska gets their first win under Scott Frost

It took seven games but Nebraska finally got the job done.

A productive first half and big plays on offense led to the Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-6, 1-4 Big Ten)  getting their first win of the season in a 53-28 fashion over the Minnesota Golden Gophers (3-4, 0-4).

The 2018 season should’ve been met with modest expectations at best for the Cornhuskers in their first season under head coach Scott Frost. However, many including myself, did not necessarily think the season would get off to their worst 6-game start in program history.

As a former Cornhusker, Frost is called upon to right the ship in Lincoln for a program that won 9 or more games in 10 out of 14 seasons between 1999-2012. Frost doesn’t have a magic wand nor a crystal ball and fixing this program is going to take more elbow grease than expected. So this is a major sight of relief.
