With week eight of the college football season in the books, lets pinpoint some key takeaways from this week’s college football action.

There was plenty of wow in week eight of college football and also plenty of statements made. The #8 Oklahoma Sooners got back on track with a comfortable win over TCU while #2 Clemson Tigers sent a message to the rest of the ACC with a complete dismantling of #22 North Carolina State.

Without their starting quarterback and possible Heisman hopeful McKenzie Milton, #10 UCF didn’t miss a beat with a 37-10 over East Carolina.

Next week, the SEC will have a top-10 matchup that will go a long way towards the SEC East title. Speaking of high stake conference battles, #18 Iowa will hit the road next week to tango with #17 Penn State.

We will also keep an eye on #3 Notre Dame and their interesting test next week against Navy. Before all of that gets underway, let’s take a look at key takeaways from this past week.
