Seattle has surprised many after losing what was long the identity of their team. Seeing Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Cliff Avril, and Michael Bennett leave was rough and the injury to Earl Thomas was a punch in the gut. However, Seattle remains in the playoff race as a wild card contender going into the trade deadline.

If the Seahawks get to a point where they can’t compete for a title this year they might have to move a piece to rebuild. It would behoove them to move a player who can get them draft capital worth something, even though it will sting.

One of the final pieces remaining from the Legion of Boom is KJ Wright, a free agent after this season. Would the Seahawks dare trade one of the final pieces of one of the greatest defenses of all-time?

Bringing Wright back in free agency is always an option as long as the relationship and financial capabilities are there. But if the Seahawks find themselves on the outside of the wild card race before the trade deadline, they need to either add a young playmaker or pick up a high draft pick.
