Every season if feels like Pittsburgh goes through the same adversity on and off the field. They lose a couple early games, someone does something wrong, and tension is high. In the end, they come out of it and play in the AFC Championship game.

Last year the Steelers invested a third-round pick into the quarterback room with Mason Rudolph, a big quarterback from Oklahoma State. The organization felt enough confidence in Rudolph and second year quarterback Josh Dobbs to part ways with veteran Landry Jones. Considering the trust and investment Pittsburgh has made it’s unlikely they dip back into the quarterback pool in the 2019 NFL Draft.

A running back could be in play assuming Le’Veon Bell doesn’t return next season, but I’m not ready to touch any running backs this early in 2019.

Where Pittsburgh needs help is the inside linebacker position as they continue to battle the loss of Ryan Shazier. It’s time to find an upgrade over Jon Bostic and Vince Williams, and there’s no better place to dip into than Alabama.

While Wilson is a bit undersized at 6’0 231, but he makes up for it with aggressiveness and a tremendous motor. He can create turnovers in the middle of the field, coming up with five interceptions in his last two seasons, one of which was a pick-six against Clemson in the playoffs.

Alabama needs another difference maker in the middle of their defense next to TJ Watt. Wilson can be that guy.
