2019 NFL Mock Draft: Attacking and protecting young quarterbacks
Seattle looked like a ship without a captain to start the year and I was among many who thought they’d take a major step back going into this year. After starting 0-2 the Seahawks have won three of their last four thanks to a change in the offense to run the ball more. Their two best games in the points scored category have been in their last two games when they scored at least 27 in each match.
There are several ways for Seattle to look at the 2019 NFL Draft at this point. They could look to rebuild their once fierce defense and add either a pass rusher or corner, find an immediate replacement to pending free agent Earl Thomas, or boost the offense.
While getting a pass rusher to go with Frank Clark was heavily considered the Seahawks have to protect Russell Wilson and create space for the run game. That’s where Yodny Cajuste comes in. The Mountaineers offensive lineman is a massive specimen at 6’5, 322 lbs but he moves very well for his size. Cajuste moves pass rushers with ease and has very good hand placement when blocking.
