Player to watch on offense this week? Bill is known for taking away the top threat of an offense – that, in my opinion, is Tarik/Gabriel. My guess is Miller has a breakout game.

That’s absolutely where Belichick is going to focus. He’s not going to let the Bears have the big plays in this game and those two are the biggest culprits. I have a sneaking suspicion though that this could be the game Jordan Howard asserts himself. The Patriots rank just 18th in the NFL against the run. They’ve allowed at least 100 yards rushing in both of their road games this year. With so much attention geared towards the Bears speed threats, they won’t expect a heavy dose of thunder from Howard.

What record did you predict before the season started and have your expectations changed?

My initial prediction for the season was 9-7. I felt they’d show steady improvement as the season went along. Given their start, I have since shifted that to a 10-6 record. They have enough talent and are showing enough capability to reach that mark. The way things stand all they have to do is go 7-4 the rest of the way to achieve it. With who they have left on their schedule it won’t be easy but I believe it’s definitely something they can pull off.
