2019 NFL Draft: Top-50 prospects big board
35. WR Deebo Samuel, South Carolina – Samuel has been a bolt of electricity for the Gamecocks offense during his career. His season-ending leg injury in the third game of the 2017 season took away from what was going to be an excellent season as he averaged 16.7 yards per reception by that point. Samuel has excellent footwork and his speed can turn a simple dump-off to a game-breaking touchdown.
34. OT David Edwards, Wisconsin – Coming from a system such as Wisconsin’s, it is pretty much a given that a lineman such as Edwards is profound in run blocking. Edwards is your typical rugged blocker that has a mean streak to go along with good size at 6’7 320-lbs. His athleticism is a little better than some give him credit for also.
33. TE Noah Fant, Iowa – The only tight end to make my top-50 listing, Fant is a freak of nature as an athletic tight end. At 6’4 and a tad over 250 pounds, Fant brings size, speed, and athleticism that will separate him from other tight ends at the next level. He averaged 16.5 yards per catch on 30 receptions in 2017, which shows how effective he can be in the pass game.
32. WR Collin Johnson, Texas – Johnson brings ‘it’ as a receiver with size and dynamic playmaking ability. Johnson totaled a career-high in receptions and yards in 2017 with 54 catches and 765 yards. Johnson has a great catch radius thanks to his long arms and big frame and also has the capability of threatening a defense vertically.
31. DT Jerry Tillery, Notre Dame – Tillery is playing the best ball of his collegiate career this season and has already reached a career-high in sacks. Tillery is packed with power and shows consistent capability of stacking and shedding blockers. His short area quickness also pops off on film.
