OT. Washington. Trey Adams. 30. player. 56.

Sayre: Trey Adams has been a highly touted NFL prospect for a couple of years now, and as is often the case, more time in college gives you more time to be over-analyzed and perhaps drop down draft boards a bit.

Last year at this time, some felt like Adams would be the top tackle off the board in the 2018 NFL Draft if he chose to declare early, but he didn’t do that. Unfortunately for Adams, he’s not going to get a chance to show scouts this season what he’s capable of doing.

He had season-ending surgery on his back in September, which could cause him to drop even further than this down draft boards.

Cordy Glenn has been a huge upgrade for the Bengals at left tackle but the team could get a diamond in the rough here, and do some shuffling with the depth chart with one of the two at right tackle if need be.

Adams is a lengthy tackle with a great frame overall. His injury history is a bit worrisome, but he will be a steal if he plays up to his full potential.
