Mizzou. Drew Lock. 24. player. 47. . QB

Sayre: At some point, the Patriots have to pick a quarterback to succeed Tom Brady, right?

Drew Lock has not had the best accuracy of any quarterback in this year’s draft class. As a matter of fact, his completion percentage is likely to end up being under 60 percent over the course of his college career which will bring up some Josh Allen comparisons.

That said, Lock threw 44 touchdown passes a season ago against SEC competition while Allen finished with less than 20 against Mountain West competition.

Lock has playmakig ability and big time skills worth developing. The Patriots don’t have to use a first rounder on a quarterback but if the right guy with the right skills falls into their laps, they would be foolish to pass.

The opportunity to develop Lock and have him learn from Brady is a great situation for everyone.
