George: Despite a hot start under Ryan Fitzpatrick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have some major work ahead of them to be contenders in the AFC. They’re proven to be the worst defense in the NFL yet again, allowed 358 passing yards per game and a 130.5 quarterback rating.

Cornerback Brent Grimes is 35 and on a one-year deal, and Vernon Hargreaves has been both a major disappointment and an injury waiting to happen. The Buccaneers need to make upgrades in their secondary to have a fighting chance once in a while.

Amani Oruwariye is a three-year starter for the Nittany Lions, coming off a career-high four interception season last year. He’s made two in Penn State’s first five games, including the game-sealer against Appalachian State in overtime.

Oruwariye won’t win a track meet, but his athleticism and playmaking ability stand out heading into the 2019 NFL Draft. He projects to be a borderline first round pick and a starter for the Bucs week one as Grimes’ replacement.
