Sayre: The Steelers have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL so far in 2018, surrendering the 4th most passing yards and the second-most touchdown throws.

Their secondary needs another infusion of youth, or at least talent, and Baker is one of the best in college football right now.

The Steelers have attempted to upgrade their secondary by bringing in Joe Haden, drafting Artie Burns in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and using a first-round pick on Terrell Edmunds this year.

Right now, quarterbacks throwing the football into Baker’s coverage are not having any success. Even though it was against lesser competition, he had a game in 2018 where throws into his coverage resulted in negative yards over the course of a game.

He didn’t allow a touchdown in 2018 and has been a key leader for Georgia’s secondary.
