Erik: Sean McDermott isn’t going to feel comfortable in Buffalo until he’s able to build the kind of defense he wants. Thus far he hasn’t been able to get that as the team continues to reshuffle the roster. Adding another strong piece to the defensive line would be something he’d sign off on. Dexter Lawrence may not have the hot hand in this loaded class but the Clemson defensive tackle might be the most physically gifted. He’s got size, length, power, and quickness. His issues are all of the mental side from getting motivated to using proper technique. Both need work. McDermott loves a challenge.
