A top-15 matchup within the Big Ten takes place with championship game implications in the balance. Here is the preview and prediction for Wisconsin vs. Michigan.

In one of the most historic venues in all of college football, two teams will meet with not only legitimate conference title game hopes but the loser could find themselves knocked out of the College Football Playoff picture.

The Michigan Wolverines suffered a loss in the season opener against #5 Notre Dame but since they have reeled off five straight wins including three straight conference victories. They needed a second-half comeback to defeat Northwestern two weeks ago and a slow start last week against Maryland led to a first quarter deficit and what appeared to be another underwhelming performance.

Wisconsin has a pair of Big Ten wins over Iowa and Nebraska but a field goal loss to BYU almost a month ago has them on the ropes in terms of their College Football Playoff hopes. But in the back pocket of the Badgers is one of the best running backs in all of college football and a defense that is stingy by allowing just 16.4 points per game.
