The New York Jets defense has always been starved for an edge rusher. When was the last time they had a good one? John Abraham springs to mind and that was over 10 years ago. Rex Ryan kept them good for a bit but since then they’ve been highly inconsistent, and the reason is their pass rush. They have Leonard Williams and he’s a stud, but they need someone on the edge with the speed and explosion to take advantage of his presence. Josh Allen is proving to be that type of player for Kentucky. He’s a wicked athlete with the versatility to play all over the field. Tackles have a hard time dealing with him due to quickness and bend.
