6. San Francisco 49ers (via OAK)

Mississippi State. Montez Sweat . 6. player. 42. . EDGE

The San Francisco 49ers defense is having all sorts of issues, and most of them stem from problems up front. Their pass rush has not been getting the job done. Former 1st round pick Solomon Thomas hasn’t been able to elevate his game to the next level. Only DeForest Buckner has been a consistent presence and teams can control one man far easier. Montez Sweat will change that situation. This kid is an exciting prospect. He’s got speed and explosiveness off the edge coupled with long arms and power to shed blocks. As his arsenal of moves has improved, it’s become harder and harder to stop him.
