Undersized cornerbacks won’t scare somebody like Jon Gruden. He coached one of the best short corners in NFL history in Ronde Barber. He’ll immediately see the benefits of somebody like Julian Love. Besides, short corners have a much better future in a 4-3 defense where they’re not constantly asked to play man as they often are in a 3-4. Love has been all over the field for Notre Dame this year. He flies to the football, plays good coverage, doesn’t make too many mistakes and shows a lot of “juice” that Gruden always preaches.
