23. Washington Redskins
Drew Brees showed the world that the Washington Redskins defense, despite all their work is still well below the standard that can be considered good in the NFL. Their secondary was torched all night long, giving up a lot of big plays. They still don’t have anybody at safety who can cover the deep part of the field and make quarterbacks think twice about trying them deep. Deionte Thompson would be able to change that. He’s got the speed and acceleration to cover lots of ground, making plays on the football. He also is big and shows a willingness to drop down into the box and help against the run.
