College Football week six takeaways: Longhorns hook the Sooners
Late interception lifts #14 Florida over #13 LSU
Two teams with excellent defensive play treated the viewers with four quarters of hard-hitting SEC football.
An interception with 1:25 remaining in the game gave the Florida Gators a 27-19 victory over red-hot LSU on its home field to improve to 5-1 on the season.
It was only the third win over LSU for the Gators in nine games dating back to 2010. It also came in a unique setting as former Gator Tim Tebow was inducted into the program’s Ring of Honor.
This win for Florida comes on the heels of a defensive fistfight against Mississippi State last week.
With Vanderbilt on the slate for next weekend and arch rival Georgia the following week, the Gators have an opportunity to put themselves on the forefront of the College Football Playoff.
Of course, beating Georgia seems like a very daunting task but as long as their defense is clicking, they will be in any contest they encounter.
