#8: New York Giants win Super Bowl after Tiki Barber leaves

Tiki Barber did not make a lot of friends with how he decided to leave the New York Giants. Not only did he declare his intent to retire during the 2006 season, which caused plenty of distractions, but he also saw fit to talk bad about his former quarterback Eli Manning when he joined the media the next season. The Giants took exception to that and made sure he’d regret it. One thing Barber never got done in his career was winning a title. Sure enough that 2007 season New York went on a late run and stunned the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
