Florida Offense

QB Feleipe Franks

The sophomore quarterback was announced the starter in the summer this year and has made a big improvement from last year. Franks sat his freshman year and competed last year as he started in 11 games but had a rough outing, throwing nine touchdowns to eight interceptions. So far this season, he has thrown 12 touchdowns to only three interceptions but had a rough game last week against Mississippi State. Despite the win, Franks threw a pick and struggled against undefeated #13 ranked Kentucky. Even though Franks does not as much talent on the outside, he will have to take care of the football in this game if they want to beat a very talented LSU team.

WR Van Jefferson/Feddie Swain

The junior wide receiver transferred from Ole Miss in 2018 and has been quarterback Franks most consistent target, leading the team in catches (12) and has 156 yards with three touchdowns. Van Jefferson against Greedy Williams will be a big matchup to watch as Franks could struggle if Jefferson is locked down. If Williams does not play, Jefferson could take advantage as this offense needs a fast start against this talented LSU defense.

Junior wide receiver Feddie Swain also key for the Florida passing game as he leads the team in receiving yards, with 214 on 10 catches and three touchdowns. Swain is averaging 21.4 yards a catch and is the big play threat for Florida. He will need to make a big play or two if Florida wants to have a productive passing game against LSU and their tough secondary.
