Jacksonville continues to be an AFC powerhouse this season despite not having a superstar quarterback. It’s mainly been about the defense in Jacksonville after years of top-five picks that’ve all come together along with free agents.

The Jaguars defense has allowed the fewest yards, passing touchdowns, and first downs of any team that’s played four games this year. They’re simply dominant in every aspect on defense.

On offense Blake Bortles has remained steady eddie and kept his team in the game. He’s thrown three picks and fumbled the ball it twice this year, but even without Leonard Fournette the offense has been churning out points. If the Jaguars can score at least 20 points they’re likely to win the game.

After losing Allen Robinson to free agency and Marquise Lee to a torn ACL the Jaguars are left with a modest receiver corp. Donte Moncrief was a sneaky pick up in the offseason and DJ Chark was picked up in the second round out of LSU. They joined Keelan Cole, who had a big game against the Patriots, and Dede Westbrook, who had nine catches against the Jets.

As for the tight end position the Jaguars have Austin Seferian-Jenkins and not much else. Dawson Knox is similar to Hayden Hurst last year where his stock comes more from projection than production. He’s a big target at 6’4 with reliable hand and decent speed for the position, but he doesn’t have a receiving touchdown in 11 career games for the Rebels after walking on. Jacksonville can stand to take a high upside receiver who needs a little more polish, but I believe this pick will pay off big time for Bortles and the Jaguars.
