Like the Dolphins and Titans I did not expect the Bengals to be 3-1 after four weeks of games. Andy Dalton is leading the fourth-best scoring offense in the league and Tyler Boyd has finally emerged as a potential starter next to AJ Green. They’ve missed Joe Mixon in the run game, but Gio Bernard has gotten the job done in his absence. Tyler Eifert suffered another ankle injury that likely ends his season yet again.

There’s still much to be desired on defense despite the emergence of Jessie Bates and leading tackler Nick Virgil. Most of the sack production is coming from Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap, who’ve combined for 7 of their 10 sacks.

Cincinnati has allowed the fourth-most yards to opposing offenses this year and none of their corners have an interception. The Bengals have three former first round cornerbacks with William Jackson, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Darqueze Dennard, who is a free agent at the end of the season.

Amani Oruwariye has been a consistent contributor to the Nittany Lion defense for three years. Last season he picked off four passes and deflected seven, and he had the game sealing pick against Appalachian State in the end zone.

His long speed is a question, but his production is unrivaled in the Big Ten. He’s got excellent size and length at 6’1 and his body control is also above average.
