4th Quarter

vs. Los Angeles Rams – Loss

More from NFL Mocks

Right now the Rams are the best team in the NFL. They’re undefeated and rolling offensively. Sean McVay is one of the best offensive minds in the game and he’ll likely have a few things in store for the Bears defense. Unless Trubisky and the offense can answer, which will be difficult against Aaron Donald and that defensive front, this will be a tough loss.

vs. Green Bay Packers – Loss

At this point, it just feels like the Packers are in the Bears’ heads. Part of the reason they can’t beat them is they’re not able to sustain good play for four quarters. That’s what happened in the opener. Aaron Rodgers has their number and that should continue here. The defense won’t be able to win it alone. Trubisky must answer the bell.

at San Francisco 49ers – Win

The 49ers were pretty much sunk when Jimmy Garoppolo was lost for the year to a torn ACL. Don’t expect C.J. Beathard to do anything special against this defense. If anything they might have to carry him off on a stretch given his tendency to take some pretty nasty beatings. Robbie Gould had his moment. This time it’s all business for Chicago.

at Minnesota Vikings – Loss

Like Detroit, the Bears have a hard time winning on the road in Minnesota. In fact, one might say it’s even harder than people realize. As improved as this team is, the Vikings are still a good team and they (usually) play well in their building. Mike Zimmer is a dogged coach. He’ll have them ready. It will be a disappointing finish for Chicago.

Final Record:  10-6

The Bears are still learning how to win. They’re a young team. That said this record should be enough to get them into the postseason for the first time in eight years. Maybe not enough to win the division, but that should come with time.
