NFL Grades: Report card for each QB after four games
By Erik Lambert
Tom Brady (New England Patriots): C+
The Patriots are 2-2, but it feels like they’ve fallen off the face of the earth.
Tom Brady’s play is part of the reason why this team has not looked like the same dominant team we’ve seen in recent years, but he’s still playing well most of the time.
For his standards though, I’m sure he’s not overly thrilled.
Brady’s interception percentage of 3.0 percent right now would tie a career high from 2004. He has four interceptions in the Patriots’ first four games after throwing no more than eight interceptions over the past three seasons.
His completion percentage is down, yards per attempt is down, and yards per game are way down.
Is this regression due to age? Is the talent level around him that bad? Will everything come around for Brady again?
It’s hard to bet against the Patriots’ quarterback but he hasn’t looked like the same player we’ve seen over the past three seasons.
