Philip Rivers (Los Angeles Chargers): B+

The Chargers came into the 2018 season with Super Bowl aspirations, but once again were bitten by the injury bug.

Philip Rivers has been his usual self, helping lead the team to two victories in their first four games, albeit against two of the worst teams in the NFL (Buffalo, San Francisco).

The Chargers are going to have to figure things out defensively if Joey Bosa is unable to play most of this season, but Rivers and the offense seem to be doing their part. He’s got 11 touchdowns and only two interceptions so far this season, completing 68 percent of his passes with 1,156 yards.

Rivers doesn’t appear to be the reason the Chargers will falter this year, at least not at this point. He’s on pace to put up big numbers yet again this season and if the Chargers can avoid their early season troubles, he just might end up being an MVP candidate.
