Deshaun Watson (Houston Texans): B+

Watson has not set the NFL ablaze like he did as a rookie in 2017, but statistically he’s been very solid through Houston’s first four games.

The stats don’t always tell the whole story, though.

Watson and the Texans are 1-3 after an overtime win against Andrew Luck and the Colts, and they have lost their three games by seven points or less. It appears as though Watson is getting better and better each week, but the Texans are already playing catch up in the AFC South.

If Watson continues playing like he has been, the big numbers will come, and the wins will start coming again. It’s disappointing for Texans fans who expected him to come in at the start of this season and be exactly the same guy he was last year, which was a Rookie of the Year candidate.
