Grading the NFL’s top rookie quarterbacks through four weeks
Josh Rosen, Arizona Cardinals
The Josh Rosen era for the Cardinals hasn’t resulted in a win yet in two appearances, but he’s flashed awesome potential and looks the part of a future franchise quarterback.
The Cardinals might need to invest in a receiver or two this offseason as they struggled badly with drops in Rosen’s starting debut, but he was slinging the ball all around the field confidently.
One thing that everyone loved about Rosen coming out was his technical flawlessness as a quarterback. He’s got such great mechanics and he’s proving through his first two appearances that his ability to read and process NFL defenses is in a great spot for only having one start under his belt.
The Seahawks came away victorious against the Cardinals in Rosen’s first NFL start, but he made some incredible throws and put the ball on the money for other throws that went in the stat books as incomplete passes.
Both Rosen and Darnold play for teams that could compete for the number one overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft, so hopefully, Rosen does not make any unnecessary adjustments to his throws based on the number of drops his receivers had in week four.
