Washington Redskins 2019 NFL Mock Draft: Gruden’s last stand?

I’m not using trades in this mock draft but I’ll preface this pick by saying that the Redskins can’t be satisfied with their depth at the Safety position.  If they could secure a back up the caliber of Hudson I suspect they would gladly trade a couple of their late round picks to move up into the necessary position to acquire a talented rookie safety as an insurance policy against an injury to one of their starting safeties.

Hudson is capable of playing either safety spot in a pinch but is much stronger playing closer to the line. Depending on what other teams are looking for in their safeties this might cause Hudson to slide a little down the board although admittedly probably not this far.

But certainly, stranger things have happened. The Skins would feel great about adding this kind of depth to an otherwise very solid group.
