The Redskins are a team that has to have several good tight ends to be successful, and Jacob Breeland fits the bill. The Oregon star is a very good blocker with a great set of hands. He can step in as a rookie and ensure the tight end group doesn’t miss a beat if the Skins decide to infuse some youth in place of Vernon Davis.

At 6’5 250 he would be the perfect complement to a tight end tandem that includes Jordan Reed, Jeremy Sprinkle and possibly even Davis. In his last 14 games for the Ducks Breeland has seven touchdowns and averages over 18 yards per catch.

The Redskins will be running more and more two and three tight end sets. It is not out of the realm of possibility for the team to keep four tight ends at the position next year.

Regardless, Breeland has all the tools to be a top tight end in the league for years to come.
