This pick is made by the frustration of a fan as much as anything else. I fully understand that there are coaches, Bruce Arians comes to mind, who would rather stick needles in their eyes than give up a roster spot to a fullback. But, there is no denying that certain running backs (Derrius Guice) run much more effectively following a fullback through the hole.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a legitimate FB to clear the linebacker out of the way to give the RB that extra fraction of a second to make his way into the secondary. I’m not talking about a converted linebacker or tight end but an honest to God fullback whose full time job is to lead the ball carrier through the trenches.
How transcendent might it be to turn those third down and less than a yard plays into certain first downs instead of trying to pick up that critical one yard on a hope and a prayer? A player like Winston Daniel playing the role of road grader behind the likes of Brandon Scherff, Chase Roullier or Beau Benzschawel would be a refreshing change from throwing a pass on third and inches.
In all likelihood a few of these names might change over the course of the next six months. But for now these are your ten new Redskins.
