Ohio State enters a blinding White Out at Penn State

No atmosphere will ever match the White Out in State College, Pennsylvania with 110,000 people screaming at the top of their lungs for three consecutive hours. Ohio State has horrible memories of the White Out after Penn State blocked and returned a field goal for a touchdown in 2016, sealing the biggest win in James Franklin’s career.

Tonight will be the ninth time Ohio State and Penn State meet as top-10 opponents, with Ohio State coming in as the number four team in the country, and the Nittany Lions ranked ninth. In seven of the last eight games the, higher ranked team has won, favoriting the Buckeyes.

The winner of the White Out will take sole possession of the Big Ten East lead with the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions both sitting at 4-0. Maryland, Michigan, and Indiana are each 3-1, although the Hoosiers lost their only conference game of the season.

This game also has major implications for the College Football Playoffs. While the loser might not necessarily be knocked out of the top-four, it delivers a major hit to their chances.

Tonight’s game features two of the top-three scoring offenses in college football, and the top-two points-per-game teams in the country. Penn State stands atop the nation averaging 55.5 points per game after wins against App. State, Pitt, Kent State, and Illinois. That’s not a list of powerhouse teams, but the Nittany Lions have dominated none the less.

Here’s how to watch the premier college football game of the weekend, if not the regular season.
