Texas Tech Keys To Victory

Corralling Grier: Stopping the pass attack by Grier and company is no easy feat by any means. To combat what will likely be a tough task, the defense will have to win the trenches consistently. Tech is ranking 73rd in the country in total sacks with just seven in four games. Edge rusher Tony Jones (3) and defensive end Eli Howard (2.5) are the leaders of the team and much will be expected from them with the Red Raiders defense likely playing heavy coverage on the back end and little blitzing.

Continue To Spread The Wealth: The offense for Texas Tech is just as dangerous as any other unit in college football. How they effectively attack defenses is having an array of pass catchers which prohibits defenses from focusing their coverage. Five receivers on the Tech offense, led by Antoine Wesley, has recorded at least 14 receptions and in three of those four games, they have had a different leading receiver in terms of catches. A variety of targets for Texas Tech that will have West Virginia on their toes a bit.
