The absence of Trey Flower has really exposed how lacking the pass rush is for the New England Patriots defense. There’s only so much scheming can do for them before simple lack of talent drags them down. This is a problem they have to fix as Tom Brady continues to get older. It’s becoming apparent he can’t carry the team on his back like he used to. In such case, it’s the defense that has to step up. Zach Allen will be somebody who furthers that goal. He’s a powerhouse type of defensive end with violent hands and long arms. Patriots fans will be reminded a lot of Chris Long.
