20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

. S. Alabama. Deionte Thompson . 20. player. 48

The back end of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense is a mess. Injuries have already ravaged it through the first month of the season and the unit wasn’t that good even before that. There’s a reason they spent a number of draft picks this year trying to improve it. Safety is probably their biggest concern at the moment. That’s why Deionte Thompson makes so much sense. Alabama is a factory for good safeties and he’s their latest project. At 6’2 he has ideal size and already sports two interceptions through four games in 2018. The kid is a playmaker who can work at any level of the field without being a liability. That’s something the Buccaneers haven’t had in a long time.
