The 2018 season continues to turn each 2019 NFL mock draft completely on its ear. That’s what makes these things so much fun to do.

It appears the races are on now, both between the teams eyeing the playoffs and those, voluntarily or otherwise, in competition for the #1 pick. There’s also a continued situation regarding big-name players being traded that could alter things even further in the months to come. One such unexpected move has a gigantic effect on the top 5 picks here. Can you guess what it is?

1. Arizona Cardinals

32. . DE. Ohio State. Nick Bosa . 1. player

They have their quarterback in place with Josh Rosen. There aren’t any wide receivers who are going to be worth the #1 pick and the same goes for the offensive tackle class as well. That leaves defense. The Arizona Cardinals already have some really good veteran pieces in that sense with Chandler Jones and Patrick Peterson. It could get so much better with Nick Bosa.

The Ohio State defensive end is looking like the real deal more every day. He’s built like his Pro Bowler sibling and might even be a slightly better athlete. The size and power are there and his technique has shown significant improvement as well. Putting him across from Jones on that front will be a scary realization for NFC West quarterbacks.
