Why is Wims not on the active roster?

He is. He just hasn’t gotten on the field to this point. It’s apparent the Bears are intent on bringing him along slowly. Make no mistake. He was good in preseason but that’s half-speed football against mostly scrubs. Wims was winning on his natural talent, which is considerable. However, he is not a polished player by any means. His route running needs work, and as I stated earlier this offense demands sharp route running.

Fun one for you. Who do you think is the more talented screen catcher, sweep runner, open field mover; @TarikCohen or @TGdadon1
Now we’re talking. Okay, we’ll start with screen catcher. This sort of play demands two things the most: agility and vision. Those are qualities Cohen has in abundance. Not to mention his natural hands for catching the ball. However, on the flip side running a sweep has more of a speed demand to it because it requires the runner to get the edge before the defense can close it off. So Gabriel claims the nod there. As for open field mover?
I have to give the edge, ever so slightly, to Cohen. Speed is lethal in the open field, but so is vision and quickness. There’s a reason Tarik is used on punt returns and not Gabriel. He just has that knack of finding the open spaces and getting to them.

When all is said and done, will Khalil Mack retire as a Raider or as a Bear?
He spent four years with the Raiders during which he never played on a defense in the top 10. Barring a major surprise, he’ll do that his first year in Chicago. Not only that but it seems he’s already loving life as a Bear. He’s currently under contract for six years so the odds are he’ll end up playing longer with the Bears than he did with Oakland. If things go as planned, he’ll have more team success here too. So my money is on him retiring a Bear and landing in Canton as one.
